About World of XR

Stories, ideas, and perspectives on spatial technology and the worlds it can create.

World of XR is an independent non-profit publication exploring the technologies bringing physical and digital experiences closer together.

From virtual production and spatial computing to real-time graphics, XR, computer vision, and AI, World of XR looks at how these technologies work, where they are being applied, and where they might lead.

Expect technical deep dives, industry analysis, research, experiments, and conversations with people shaping the field. The focus goes beyond product announcements to the ideas, workflows, and real-world applications driving spatial technology forward.

Why World of XR?

For decades, most of our interaction with digital content has happened through flat screens. That is beginning to change.

Digital environments can interact with physical spaces in real time. Virtual objects can exist alongside people. Cameras can move through digitally created worlds. Spatial interfaces can respond to movement, gestures, gaze, and the environment around us.

At the same time, filmmaking, broadcast, game development, visual effects, spatial computing, and AI are increasingly drawing from the same technologies.

World of XR follows those connections.

Not just what is changing, but how it works, why it matters, and where it might lead.

Why subscribe?

Subscribe to World of XR for thoughtful analysis of virtual production, spatial computing, real-time graphics, XR, AI, and the creative technologies emerging around them.

If you work in technology, filmmaking, broadcast, immersive media, research, or are simply curious about the spatial future, this is a place to follow it as it develops.

Who’s behind World of XR?

World of XR was founded by Ajinkya Hukerikar, a virtual production technologist, filmmaker, and researcher working across real-time graphics, spatial computing, and storytelling.

His work explores the intersection of creative ideas and the technical systems used to bring them to life, from virtual production workflows to emerging applications of AI and spatial technology.

World of XR grew from that same curiosity: what becomes possible when the physical and digital worlds are no longer treated as separate spaces?

Welcome to World of XR.
